Show Your Love to JCHS! Celebrate the Final Stretch of the Newly Imagined Museum Campaign

February 13, 2026 — The Jefferson County Historical Society (JCHS) invites the community to Show Your Love for JCHS!, a special celebration marking the final stages of the capital campaign for the Newly Imagined Museum of Art + History. The event will take place on Friday, February 13, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Museum of Art + History in downtown Port Townsend.

This one-night event offers a rare opportunity to experience the museum while it is completely empty and awaiting the installation of all new exhibits. Guests will enjoy light refreshments, a brief presentation on what is ahead, and building tours led by JCHS staff that provide a close look at the creative process and plans for the future.

Great progress is underway for the Newly Imagined Museum project. New exhibit infrastructure including custom casework, graphic panels, and multisensory components are being fabricated. At the same time, new research, historic images, and objects are being prepared for display. These final investments are essential for delivering an engaging museum experience that reflects the community.

Show Your Love for JCHS! is both a celebration and a call to action. Community support at this moment will help ensure that JCHS opens its doors wide this April with a fully realized museum of art and history that welcomes everyone and highlights the stories that matter most.
