The Jefferson County Historical Society is excited to welcome visitors to Kim Kopp’s retrospective exhibition, A Practice of Noticing — 1995–2025, opening September 4 in the Ferguson Gallery. This exhibition spans 35 years of Kopp’s work, featuring a variety of media that reflects the evolution of her art practice over time.
Kopp writes: “Over the past 35 years my art practice has continued to evolve and thread its way through time and place. Walking is important to my process. It connects the external world and the inner world of the studio. On my ritual paths I notice daily and seasonal changes, recording what attracts my attention, ‘navigating’ my way through time.”
Visitors to the exhibition will experience how Kopp’s careful attention to the world around her has informed her creative journey, from early works to recent projects. Her art invites reflection, observation, and a deeper awareness of the everyday moments that shape our lives.
Exhibition Dates: September 4 – December 31, 2025
Location: Ferguson Gallery, Museum of Art + History
