A Spooky Celebration of History and Fun
This Halloween, the Museum of Art + History invites you to experience Halloweekend @ JCHS, a celebration that blends local history, spooky stories, and festive family fun.
The highlight of this year’s Halloweekend is our Strange Shadows: Uncanny Tales of Port Townsend walking tour.
Strange Shadows: Uncanny Tales of Port Townsend
Step into the eerie side of downtown Port Townsend on this 90-minute walking tour. Explore ghostly encounters, unexplained disappearances, historical oddities, UFO sightings, and strange tales from the sea. The tour culminates in a special interpretive visit to the historic jail spaces inside the 1892 City Hall building.

Dates: October 29 – November 2, 2025
Ticket Prices: $18 for JCHS members | $24 for non-members
Accessibility: Flat, ADA-accessible route; limited seating at two stops; small steps into the jail exercise yard
Capacity: Maximum 12 participants per tour
Proceeds support JCHS collections, research, exhibits, and programs, making your spooky adventure also a meaningful contribution to preserving Jefferson County’s history.
