Museum Shop

The first year in the beautiful new space in the restored City Hall building resulted in a significant increase in sales.  The expanded Museum Shop is a pleasant place to explore books on local and regional history, including our own recent Arcadia Publication, Images of America: Jefferson County which includes hundreds of historic photographs from the JCHS collection.  Another strong seller is Ann Welch's interactive CD, Port Townsend: Then and Now.  This year we spent a great deal of staff time completing the next in our series of Images of America books.  It features photographs from the JCHS collection of Port Townsend and was released March 10, 2008.

The shop is a great place to find inspiration and resources for creating a Victorian costume for the festival, offering a selection of clothing patterns, books, jewelry, fans, hats, gloves, parasols, shawls and purses.  The shop also offers old-fashioned and educational toys, postcards of local scenes from the JCHS collection and local artists.
